Whenever I gaze at the Holy Family, I think of my own small family, and the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon us. In this image, Mary looks straight at me as she holds on to the boy Jesus, whose sacred heart is clearly visible. Joseph looks at the Christ child with adoration. Perhaps they are on the way back to the Holy Land from Egypt or maybe they are just taking Jesus for a walk in Nazareth but this unique piece of art is a beautiful representation of families the world over.
