Why I love this handmade crucifix?

Whenever I look at this handmade crucifix, I am reminded of the old song “The Old Rugged Cross”, which I sang as a child. This cross is certainly rugged, constructed from two rough poles of thick wood. A resin statue of our Lord Jesus stretches across the wood piece, His precious hands and feet nailed through to the wood in stunning detail. His head, adorned with the crown of thorns, leans to the left, his bruised and pierced body contorted after his hours of suffering.

“It is finished.”

A powerful reminder of Christ suffering on the cross!

This Crucifix belongs front-and-center in your house. Some may say the piece is too graphic, but I disagree. This magnificent wall hanging of Christ reminds all who gaze on it of the Father’s immeasurable love for us, that He would send His beloved Son into the world to die for us.
